What has Pasifika bought to NZ?

NZ has been influenced by the many Polynesian cultures that live here today.

The Polyfest and Pasifika Festivals are celebrations that are now a major part of the calendar for many people living in Auckland.

Foods from Polynesia like bananas, taro and coconut are other things now seen in NZ shops and on menus.

Music has been greatly influenced by the Polynesia and many famous recording artists such as Che Fu and Nesian Mystik are Pasifika.

Artwork made in a Polynesian style is also seen through-out NZ.

TV has had a huge influence from the Pasifika community as seen by the popularity of Bro Town.
